One of the biggest trends of 2016 was athleisure wear. How did you style it? XORead More
Maxi dresses have been my go-to this summer. Nothing is easier than throwing on a dress, versus having to figure out which pants go with which top or what skirt goes with which blouse. This dress, in particular, from ASOS has been the most comfortable piece in my closet to wear this summer. Because of its silky material, it's breathable and comfortable to wear on even the hottest days of the summer.
In addition to the ease of wear, this piece has also been very fun to pair with different accessories and sweaters (for the moments in which I'm indoors, that is). Today, I decided I wanted to deck out the look with bracelets and necklaces. My favorite necklace trend of the summer has been a faux leather necklace; they're the perfect layering accessory and allows any outfit to instantly become bohemian. While you can find this style of necklace at stores such as Free People, where they cost anywhere from $20-30, I decided to save some money and make my own by purchasing the material from Michaels Craft Store for about $3; not only did it look very similar, but I found a great steal to prevent breaking the bank.
Underneath this necklace, I layered my latest favorite: a Giving Key necklace which has the word "CREATE" engraved on it. For bracelets, I stacked three of my gold favorites right below my elbow, for a more modern-boho vibe. This look was easy and eye-catching. It's safe to say that this look is one of my summer favorites and I'll definitely be wearing it again.

Just the night before, snow had been lightly falling in the Midwest and I had this sudden urge to be outside with nature. Because I go to school in a city, I was craving to be around trees and snow and not have skyscrapers blocking the glorious rays of the sun.
This shoot is inspired by the "free spirits" within all of us. 2016 is a time to embrace who you are and let your self confidence ignite. Dress differently, act differently, be different. However you choose to approach this new year, do-so in a way that is free and expresses who you want to be.
