So follow me on Instagram, and check my blog daily to get the inside scoop on the best of the best at MBFW.
Day One | NICHOLAS K
A designer I hadn't heard of until the upcoming weeks before Fashion Week. Though I was unfamiliar with his work, I was extremely excited to see his designs after I did some research from his pasts RTW collections. The mix of edge plus delicacy intrigued me: how was a designer able to achieve both grace and toughness in one look. Regardless of how he was able to accomplish the look, his art from this year was sometime to be amazed by.
Day One | BCBGMAXAZRIA
BCBG, a long time designer favorite of mine. With detailed looks that not only look stunning, but they also look wearable. This year especially BCBG took an angle with fun patterns with structured coats.
Day One | TADASHI SHOJI
From frills to waterfall-like drapery, this gown designer wasted no time creating beautiful, eye captivating dresses. The detailing in each piece is not to go unnoticed... each small treasure makes each look so unique and special. Here are some of my favorites:
Day One | VFILES - MULTI-TALENT
Unique and colorful, VFILES (a multi-talent, click HERE to read more on who they are) showed us that sportswear can be trendy as well as fun. From colorful "out-to-walk-my-dog" attire to spunky leg-warmers, VFILES will knock the socks off any fashionable athlete.
Day One | SUMMARY
Detailed dresses, chic coats, eccentric sportswear, and loud fringe, DAY ONE was anything but disappointing. All four of these designers showed uniqueness and creativity, leaving us to wonder how the next 8 days are going to compare to this one. STAY TUNED...
