I love the time of year when the weather starts to become warm, and you no longer have a need for the ungodly amount of layers that are a necessity of the cold Midwest weather. So when the weather where I live finally hit above 40 degrees, I decided it was time to break out my jeans and light blouses. Though I am not the type of person to wear "preppy" style clothing, I enjoy taking those types of pieces and wearing them in a way that works for my sense of style.
I decided to wear a sheer peplum style blouse and pair it with jeans. The blouse was airy enough to keep me cool in the warm weather, yet the jeans were thick enough so I wouldn't be chilled. Since the combination was something out of my normal comfort zone -- since it was lacking my typical bohemian flair -- I decide to pair my outfit with a fun sun hat that somewhat resembled my "free spirit" way of dressing.
To finish off my look, I cuffed up my jeans and put on my go-to shoe: my black faux suede booties to edge the look up. Overall, I was comfortable for the warm temperature, and though my outfit may have been more on the "preppy" side, I was still able to incorporate my boho side.
