Lately, I have been obsessed with the Free People Me app.  It's so convenient to find outfit inspiration.  I have been loving layers and slip dresses, so I decided hat today, I was going to take these two trends, and make it unique and spunky.

On occasion, fishnet tights can look trashy, but I paired mine with a longer slip dress and cardigan to tone down the scandalous vibe.  A great way to wear slip dresses with tights is to layer other shirts and sweaters over it, that way, you're masking the fact that the slip is an intimate piece, and you're creating it into a cute boho look.  Since I did want a lot of coverage since both the tights and the slip dress were quite risque, I threw on a long, knit, comfy black cardigan.  This cardigan covered my whole backside down to the bottom of my rear, and it covered my shoulders.  By adding this cardigan, I was able to stay modest on top, but sassy on the bottom.

Since I did want to shorten the amount of fishnet showing, I added a pair of ruffled maroon socks that matched my velvet tank top that I layered over my slip dress.  Since they are (closely) the same color, it adds more coverage to your legs without looking out of place.  I finished off my look by adding a pair of short black booties.  I opted for these instead of combat boots because they are simple but don't take away from the rest of my outfit, which is what I wanted to be the main statement.
