Let's be honest, who doesn't like the holidays?  Everyone is cherry, merry, and bright (sounds like a holiday song, eh?).  As families get together, and everyone looks their best, sometimes figuring out a classy outfit is tricky.

Holiday Sparkle

There's nothing a little sparkle can't do, and when it comes to the holidays, who doesn't appreciate a little glitter here and there?!

The best way to wear a glitter staple is to pair it with a subtle piece.  Glitter can be fun and girly, but if you over-do it, it can tend to be obnoxious.  So when you break out your glitter skirt, top, or dress, make sure you tone it down with a simple colored piece.

Furry Magic

When I say furry, I mean faux.  There's nothing worse than sitting at the Thanksgiving table, eating a turkey, while wearing a turkey.  So this holiday season, choose faux!

This season's major trend has been fur.  Whether it's a fur vest, skirt, or booties, it's best to keep it simple and not overwhelming.  When wearing fur, make sure you don't over-do it by adding a lot of other textures.  Since most furs are full of detail, keep your other pieces more simple to draw attention to your fur piece and not your entire texture-clad body!

Luxury Layering

Layers are a must for this tundra-like weather (especially in the Midwest).  Not only do they keep you warm, but you add some interest, texture, and unique details to your outfits.

Comfort is the most important part of a holiday outfit.  After you've eaten turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, your food-baby needs some room to breathe.  When working with layers, make sure that you color-scheme is somewhat similar.  If you play around too much with different colors, your outfit ends up being a bit too eccentric and doesn't always work together in a good way.
