While the Midwest weather may be confused on what time of year it is, my aura definitely isn't. I couldn't be more excited to pack away my parka, and say "sayonara" to my sweaters for a few months. And no matter how often I check The Weather Channel app on my phone, the low temperatures just won't seem to let up. Even-so, I've decided to start embracing May and pull out some of my warm-weather favorites from my closet. Thanks to the Resort 2017 collections, us fashion-lovers were filled with heaps of inspiration to last us all summer long — even when the temperatures start falling below 40-degrees.
Below, I dish the top 3 trends you should be wearing this summer.
LACE INSPIRED BY PREEN LINE
Finally, lace is making a comeback. The romantic Victorian-inspired textile is summer's most sought-after look. In Preen Line's Resort 2017 collection, lace was featured on bright-colored midi dresses paired with updated cowgirl boots, see-through blouses worn with loose trousers, and used as an accent for full knee-length skirts.
Take note from Preen Line, and instead of wearing a boring-old lace camisole (major throwback to my middle school years) to get your fix, try incorporating more adventurous pieces that are featured in colorful hues or unique sihlouettes.
